The Colts took Michigan RB Mike Hart with its second 6th round pick.
I'm sure prognosticators and draft critics will question this pick because of Hart's 40-yard dash time of 4.69.
I won't question it. In fact, I praise it. I haven't watched a lot of Michigan football over the past 4 years, but I've watched enough to know that Mike Hart knows how to play football. So no matter his speed, his instincts are good.
Why I really like this pick, though, is that Hart doesn't have to come in and battle for a starting spot. His role will be to back up Joseph Addai, and I think that's a great position for him to be in.
I have every reason to believe that Addai/Hart, and not Addai/Keith, will be the RB combination in September.
